ZOYA drops the temperature into single digits with their Wishes Collection for Holiday/Winter 2014.  The collection’s starry black night, icy cool blue and party-perfect plum shades are simply perfection to not only take us through the holidays but through the winter as well!

I must admit I’ve been holding onto fall rather fiercely, so it’s taken me a while to warm up to the idea of winter in Texas but I suppose now that we’re midway through the holiday season I’d better get myself ready to welcome winter, and this collection is totally putting me into the mood!

Now this is my kinda snowflake!  From the top (black): Willa, Imogen, Haven, Thea, Prim, and Nori.

Willa is the perfect shiny black patent leather shade.  It was originally released as “Black Swan” during Zang Toi’s NYFW SS15 show.  I actually have never been drawn to black polish before but Willa has changed my mind!  She looks so classy on the nail and I love to tip her off with Imogen a black Magical PixieDust from this collection (see my post on Instagram here).

Imogen’s holographic hex glitter and gives this black textured polish a starry night sky quality once on the nails – or even black diamonds.  I think this one is my favorite!

Haven is a beautiful liquid metal plum with a hint of orchid that glints when the light hits it.  If ever there was a sugared-plum shade for the holidays I’d say this one is it!

Thea Magical PixieDust is a stunner in the bottle and on the nail.  Different from other purples from Zoya this deep amethyst also has an orchid flash to it and plenty of holographic hex glitter which makes her shine – she’s my second favorite of the bunch!

Prim is a metallic “velvet blue” that can look light or dark depending on how the light hits it (similar to velvet!).  It is a frosty pale/cornflower blue shade with a metallic finish and cool tones.

When I first saw Nori I immediately thought I had seen her before, but after rushing to my Zoya polishes she is definitely unique.  The Magical PixieDust formulation gives her extra sparkle with that holographic hex glitter, and she is a beautiful “sapphire blue shade” which is definitely a different blue tone than her other blue PixieDust sisters (Liberty & Sunshine)

The Zoya Wishes Collection for this holiday/winter 2014 is a beautiful one – I love the icy cool color selection they have given us as well as the variety of metallic, cream and Magical PixieDust formulas to choose from.  In application I was most pleased with the cream shade Willa who went on like a dream, as well as each of the PixieDust formulas.  The metallic shade Prim went on solidly in one coat (but I applied 2 in the photos) but I think I’m just not as drawn to it because of its cool pale blue tone.  Haven is one I thought I wouldn’t be as impressed with in the bottle because it almost looks like any other plum shade out there, but I’m pleased to say the addition of the orchid in it makes this shade unique and application was so smooth!  Overall this is a beautiful collection that will take me through all of winter for sure!

Which is your favorite shade from the Zoya Wishes Collection?  I’d love to know!
