Wet n Wild’s Where’s the Party? Collection for 2012 is a collection that has everything you need to pull together a sultry smokey eye with a pop of color, a golden romantic look, or a look that is soft and natural – perfect for the holidays!
I am continually impressed by Wet n Wild’s 8 pan eyeshadow palettes, and this collection is no different. All are pigmented with very little fallout or flaking when applying. As seen from the swatches above, some of the glitter in the shadows does blend out and is not as noticeable when applied, but to me that is expected. The Sparkle ‘Til Morning palette is mostly made up of shimmer shadows, so if that is not your thing you may want to keep that in mind. Because that palette does have more shimmer shadows in it, which I found to have more of a chunky fallout texture to them because they were so soft, it really did not bother me. As mentioned above, the Drinking A Glass of Shine palette is a re-release of the I <3 Matte palette from 2011, so if you were unable to find that palette last year you may be able to find it this year. (The above photo is of my I <3 Matte palette, but both are identical.)
Overall I think these palettes are a great addition to create beautiful holiday looks. While I think each palette is great on its own, the addition of Drinking a Glass of Shine would further round out each of the other two palettes, and because of the shimmer shadows in Sparkle ‘Til Morning would be necessary to complete a full look (in my opinion). 🙂
