Swatched: Sketches on Water Tinted Moisturiser in “Adansonia” – described as a “transparent wash of pale milky beige”

Before and After: Wearing “Adansonia”

“Pure, Radiant Beauty with Sketches on the Water”

SKETCHES ON WATER is a lightweight water-based tinted moisturizer that gently hydrates the skin, containing botanicals and skin protective ingredients including Vitamin A and E, as well as anti-oxidants.  Hyaluronic Acid and PCA help to prevent and treat hydration in the upper layers of the skin.  Containing a host of other beneficial ingredients rich in Zinc, calcium, Isoflavones, and detoxifying ingredients, this tinted moisturizer definitely loves the skin! (For a full ingredients list, please see below).

In application I prefer to use my fingers, but it can also be applied with a foundation or stippling brush.  The shade Adansonia is described as a “transparent wash of pale milky beige” which I find works well with my skintone.  The shade is not too warm, and because of the light tint, I think it would also work for neutral and cool tones.

It has soft and light coverage that can be built to light/medium with two layers.  In the above before and after photos I applied one layer all over the skin, and went in with a second layer on the cheeks, nose and chin.  Even with a single layer it evens out and softens the skin, covering light imperfections and softening my pores.  With a second layer it feels just as lightweight on the skin and covers a little more, but still feels natural.

I have oily skin and I was concerned this would make me more oily, however, although it states it is moisturizing the feeling and texture on the skin is soft and not greasy, leaving a natural finish.  While it does not control my oil, I find it does not exacerbate it either.  I do prefer to set this product with a translucent or tinted powder to control my oiliness as the day wears on, but the moisturizer does last all day without fading on my skin.  I also love to prep the skin beforehand with Rouge Bunny Rouge Aqua Primer Prelude in the Clouds which is a water-based primer (review coming up next).  I find the two perform beautifully together.
