If you want to try a new lipstick (or two or three) but don’t want to break your budget then you must take a look at the Colorsensational Lipsticks from Maybelline. Smooth and creamy, comfortable wear with reasonable longevity, Maybelline has proven they know their lipstick!
Now the Rebel Bloom Colorsensational Lipsticks aren’t new to the brand – they were released even before spring arrived but they haven’t lost their relevance yet! Full of spring blossoms for your lips, both in name and in shade I’m definitely loving this collection. Let’s take a closer look!
4 of the 10 available Rebel Bloom Colorsensational Lipsticks
Swatched L to R: Barely Bloomed, Peachy Poppy, Blushing Bud, Coral Burst
Barely Bloomed is a clever name for this warm pastel nude. Not too pale or pasty, it gives medium coverage on the lips so that a slight bit of my natural lip tone shows through. While the formula is comfortable, of all four I picked up this one has the shortest wear time so I tend to wear it with a nude lip pencil underneath.
Peachy Poppy is definitely peach perfection in terms of color! It also has medium coverage but it can be built up to an extent. That color though, she’s a beauty! Although it lasts a bit longer on the lips, after about 2 hours of wear my lips begin to feel slightly dry, so I’ve been prepping my lips with a balm beforehand. The shade is so unique – peach with a hint of pink that this one is my favorite!
Blushing Bud was one of those “I’ll just grab it” colors that I didn’t think I needed when I saw the display, but in reality, we could all use a good mid-toned blushing pink shade to just slap on with any eye look. It kind of reminds me of my favorite Rouge Coco, Liaison, but this one is more cool-toned and slightly less glossy (but still similar). Although I thought I would like this shade the least, this one is so easy to wear, comfortable, and leaves a stain behind on the lips so it lasts longer, making this a staple in my lipstick arsenal.
Coral Burst is my second favorite of the bunch! This shade is my ideal coral – not too red, with a hint of pink, completely electric, glossy and comfortable. Plus she leaves a stain behind extending the wear time. If you are into brights or even if you want to begin to explore with warm brights on the lips this one is for you!
Overall I’m very impressed (as usual) with these Maybelline Colorsensational lipsticks. The shade selection is beautiful and that cool pink packaging is divine! Although these are ideal for spring and summer, there are a few shades that would definitely translate into the cooler months as well. These are definitely a great bang for your buck!
Have you tried the Maybelline Rebel Bloom Colorsensational Lipsticks? Which are your favorites? I’d love to know!
