The collection of the summer that gives a little sass to even that pile of socks you have yet to match!

If you’re cringing at the piles of laundry piling up around you, as was my actual reality this weekend this creative take on beauty at the laundromat from MAC may give you a little something to look forward to.  The collection launched online at this week and while the most popular pieces have sold out you can look for the collection at retailers on May 21st (check your favorite online retailers sooner!).

This warmed-up summer collection from MAC has irresistible packaging, and while I was at first disappointed with some of the shade selections I purchased three products reviewed & swatched here and was eager to do a makeup look with them. Because I purchased two cheek products I have one look with the same lip and two different cheeks to share with you.

I’m loving this fun warm look for summer with the MAC Wash & Dry Collection!  For full reviews of the High-Light Powder, Blush and Lipstick be sure to visit my post here: MAC Wash & Dry Review, Photos and Swatches.  As you can see even Freshen Up High-Light Powder is pigmented enough to wear as a blush (and I used a light hand in this application!) while Hipness Powder Blush is very pigmented and as you can probably already tell I didn’t realize this as I applied very liberally!  Let’s just say the cheeks are the star of this show, haha!  My hand will definitely be more cautious next time. 😉  As for the lips I wasn’t sure if I would like Tumble Dry but after the whole look was together I feel like it was the perfect touch – a twist on a sheer nude, I love this light tangerine-tinted Lustre!

While I did not purchase any of the eye products from Wash & Dry, I decided to take inspiration from some of the blue and shimmery peach offered for the eyes to complete the look.  For the pop of blue in the waterline I used Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil in Summer Cruise.  On the lids I used the now-permanent MAC In Extra Dimension Eye Shadow in Sweet Heat (reviewed here) and in the crease I used MAC Woodwinked. As a brow highlight I took the lightest yellow shade from the Freshen Up High-Light Powder from this collection and used it on the brow-bone. It definitely stood out as a yellow highlight, but with all of the peachy tones going on I love how it looks!

Will you be picking any of the MAC Wash & Dry Collection up for summer?  I’d love to know your favorites!
