If you were to take a peek at my makeup stash you would see I have quite a bit of MAC accumulated, but if you’d take a second look you would notice that I’ve been sucked into purchasing way more limited edition pieces rather than the MAC staples that it seems nearly everyone uses. At the beginning of 2015 I determined I would start experiencing those MAC products that make the brand go round, and a few months ago the perfect opportunity arose when I saw the Nordstrom Naturals MAC Eyeshadow Palette – a 15- pan eyeshadow palette of the most popular shades from MAC sold at Nordstrom. Similar to the other two 15-pan palettes from MAC – Warm Neutrals and Cool Neutrals I decided on this palette because of the warm and cool variety all in one palette. Let’s take a closer look:
MAC Nordstrom Naturals Eyeshadow Palette
As with all of the curated 15 pan palette you definitely get bang for your buck – the palette is only $85 for 15 eyeshadows. The pans are not removable (as far as I can tell) and they are a little smaller than purchasing the pans separately from MAC (.045 vs. .05, so really it’s minuscule!). The reality is that each shadow in this palette comes to $5.67 which is a deep discount compared to the $10 per pan singles.
Closeup + Swatches
The back of the palette lists in order the shadows included in the palette which I have listed above.
Below are swatches on my bare arm (no primer or base) so you can see some of the shadows do not swatch well. I was going to re-swatch and do it with an applicator and on top of a primer but I decided against it. First of all there are swatches of these shadows all over the internet and secondly if there is one thing I’ve learned while being a beauty blogger is that until you experience the eyeshadow on the lids, swatches only tell part of the story. 😉
First Row Swatched L to R: Vapour (Veluxe), Honey Lust (Lustre), All that Glitters (Veluxe Pearl), Saddle (matte), Mulch (Veluxe)
Second Row Swatched L to R: Ricepaper (Frost), Amber Lights (Frost), Woodwinked (Veluxe Pearl), Wedge (Matte), Brun (Satin)
Third Row Swatched L to R: Omega (matte), Satin Taupe (frost), Embark (matte), Beauty Marked (veluxe), Carbon (matte)

The formula of these is consistent with other permanent MAC eyeshadows I’ve experienced. I already own Woodwinked and Satin Taupe as singles and they perform the same as with this palette. Having mostly experienced limited edition palettes and shadows from MAC I feel like these are better quality. Sometimes with limited edition I get less than stellar color payoff or glitter fallout, but these are solid in pigmentation, smooth and if there is any glitter it is smooth and easily contained. I’m very impressed with the formula, blendability and workability of the shadows in this palette.
Overall this is a fabulous buy and something I know I’ll reach for often because of the color, quality and performance. I’m already very impressed with Omega for my brows (yes it’s THAT good!), and Wedge is the perfect crease color. All That Glitters is simply gorgeous and Vapour is the highlight I’ve been searching for!
