When the sun is shining, the grass is green and the skies are clear, I’m ready for a picnic!  If I’m being honest, it’s usually a quick run through the drive-thru at KFC for a family order of fried chicken we can take to the park, enjoy eating outside, go on a little hike or throw around a frissbee or two and just enjoy the outdoors!  To go along with my springtime mood I’m sharing a little picnic inspiration of the makeup variety with you today.

Warm pinks, sunny tangerine and bold punches of coral are being served under the warm spring sun and in this make believe makeup picnic there isn’t a cloud in the sky so let’s dig right in!

Juicy Coral

Spring Makeup Picks MAC Versicolour Stain and Youngblood Hydrating Lip Creme

For a soft peachy pink this Youngblood Hydrating Lip Cream in Peony has been kissing my lips with soft color and leaves them feeling hydrated. The formula doesn’t have a scent, is slightly sweet, and although it doesn’t last long since it is a balm, it is easy to throw in my handbag and reapply as I go throughout the day, plus it has SPF 15 which is perfect for sunny days outside!

When I’m in the mood for a bit of glossy color I’ve been reaching for this MAC Versicolour Lip Stain in Tattoo My Heart. Similar to a YSL Glossy Stain, this MAC version recently launched and gives the lips a softer gloss with a softer stain – a bonus if you don’t want lips to be overly sticky or stained for a long period of time. The color of Tattoo My Heart is a subdued creamy coral perfect for spring!

Delectable Color

Spring Makeup Picks Youngblood Tafetta and Rouge Bunny Rouge Orpheline

Powder and cream blushes come to life during spring, and I love these two pinky-coral options for cheeks.

Perfect for medium to tanned skin (or use with a light hand for fair skin) this gorgeous Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Blush in Orpheline is a bright punch of coral pink and it blends deliciously on the cheeks.  The delicate embossing printed on the blush enhances this sweet spring treat.

If you are more of a cream blush kinda gal you will want to take a peek at the Youngblood Luminous Créme Blush in Taffeta.  The color is creamy, blendable and yet very pigmented and it has staying power even on my oily skin.  The luminosity it gives the cheeks is subtle, so I find it still works beautifully even though I have large pores and wrinkles to deal with.

Warm and Poppin’

Spring Makeup Picks Makeup Geek Mai Tai and Poppy

Coral on the eyes?  Yes please!  I’ve recently been playing with a few eyeshadows from Makeup Geek and these two warm shades are definitely making my spring sing!  Makeup Geek Poppy eyeshadow is a matte vibrant juicy coral with hint of pink that is surprisingly easy to blend and builds up easily (or diffuses well too).  A perfect pairing with Poppy, I’ve been reaching for Makeup Geek Mai Tai, a warm peach/pink duochrome that has a light lavender reflect to it.  It is very brightening on the center of the lid and absolutely gorgeous!

Instant Smiles

Spring Makeup Picks SinfulColors Thimbleberry

It wouldn’t be spring without a bright pinky coral on the nails (or toes) am I right?  I continue to be impressed with SinfulColors polishes, and this vibrant shade called Thimbleberry has been putting a smile on my face every day.  Two coats did  it for me, and the formula was lovely!  Another favorite of mine (although not pictured here) is Zoya Micky, a gorgeous coral cream.

While we’re at it lets look at a few swatches of this pinky/coral goodness!
