Bold Matte Moisture

butter LONDON is helping us to get fall-lip ready with the release of their new LIPPY Moisture Matte Lipstick ($22 US).  butter LONDON says this new release uses a lightweight gel delivery system to release the pigmentation as well as hydration, making for a very comfortable wear with a matte finish.  Hmmm… all of this definitely has my lips curious!

Here are a few photos as well as the shades from this large collection:

LIPPY Moisture Matte Lipstick

Blowing Raspberries

“The colours work with any skin tone and the flat bullet makes for flawless application.  You can even use the angled point as a lip liner that glides on without feathering.”

~ Katie Jane Hughes, butter LONDON Global Colour Ambassador

Abbey Rose

The LIPPY Moisture Matte Lipstick is made with Triple Butter Complex (Mango Seed Butter, Murumuru Seed Butter and Cupacu Seed Butter) and has a subtle scent of vanilla.  There are twelve shades in this line:

L to R: Abbey Rose, Blowing Raspberries, Come to Bed Red, Dahling, Ladybird, Loved Up

Abbey Rose is a full coverage, rose-pink cream.  A nod to the birthplace of many rock ‘n roll classics.

Blowing Raspberries is a full coverage, raspberry-red cream.  Just place your tongue between your lips and blow…

Come to Bed Red is a full coverage, classic red cream.  The sexiest red in history, as told by butter LONDON.

Dahling is a full coverage, dusty-pink cream.  Term of affection used between fashionistas.

Ladybird is a full coverage, tomato-red cream.  The British ladybug has a very posh name.

Loved Up is a full coverage, berry-red cream.  Slightly sarcastic way to say ‘I’m taken.’

L to R: Macbeth, Mush, Old Blighty, Primrose Hill Picnic, Ruby Murray, Toff

Macbeth is a full coverage, bright coral cream.  Double, double toil and trouble – Shakespeare’s shortest tragedy.

Mush is a full coverage, dark coral cream.  Brit slang for a good mate.

Old Blighty is a full coverage, brick red cream.  an informal and typically affectionate term for Britain, chiefly used by soldiers in World War I and World War II.

Primrose Hill Picnic is a full coverage, tropical-pink cream.  A famous part in North West London frequented by rock stars, yummy mummies, actors and paparazzi.

Ruby Murray is a full coverage, deep berry cream.  Cockney rhyming slang for curry, and one of the most popular singers of the UK and Ireland in the 1950s.

Toff is a full coverage, dusty-purple cream.  Well-dressed and slightly detested, this group belongs to Britain’s upper crust.

I’m feeling the need for getting into mattes – I haven’t been huge into it in the past but I think this may be my year! 😀

  1. Just impulsively bought Old Blighty shade at Ulta. It’s absolutely wonderful. Matte moisture and no feathering! Ate dinner and there’s still color on my lips . Love it!

  2. I wasn’t one for matte color but I tried this one in the Abbey Rose shade and I’m a convert, LOL..The thing I didn’t like about most mattes is that they are dry (especially pencils) but these are creamy and moist and make your lips look beautiful. 20% off at Ulta until 11/1 and 30% at Butter London until 10/27!!
