Spring has sprung so let’s get to it!

Let’s pause for a moment, stop and smell the roses and enjoy that spring is here.  In the season that seems the shortest living here in south Texas, soon the heat will begin to climb, the humidity will take over and we’ll be living in summer before I know it.  So this weekend I stopped what I was doing, picked out a few of my flower favorites and decided to dig my claws into the Zoya Delight Collection for Spring 2015.

If I came away with anything from this weekend venture it’s that Spring is pretty and she needs to be celebrated! So let’s do this, shall we?!

Zoya’s Delight Collection is comprised of three creams and three shimmery finishes, all in girly spring shades.  Zoya defines spring to perfection with this one, especially with their cream formulations.  The shimmers in the bunch are so unique that I haven’t seen anything quite like them, making them the crown jewels of springtime in my book.  Let’s see these shades in action:

Eden

Zoya Eden is a creamy cool-toned pink.  The formula is solid, easy to work with and opaque with two coats.  Definitely a must-have pink!

Daisy

Zoya Daisy is a tasty “lemon meringue” yellow with a sparkling turquoise flash when the light hits it just right – this is definitely a unique shade that screams spring!  The formula was easy to work with, although a little on the thinner side.  I applied two coats but did not feel it achieved full opacity.

Tiana

Zoya Tiana is a beautiful creamy green mint shade that I just can’t get enough of!  The formula is amazing – easy to apply and full opacity is easy to achieve with two coats.  This is one pastel mint shade you need in your life!

Rayne

Zoya Rayne is a pale blue with turquoise metallic shimmery shift.  Although this is a spring shade, if ever there was a princess Elsa (Frozen) shade, then I think this one would be it!  Unique and eye-catching the formula of this one was easy to work with when applying one thin coat followed by one thicker coat to achieve full opacity.

Leslie

Zoya Leslie is a pale violet stunner with shifting metallic turquoise.  Of the shifty shades in this collection, this one is my favorite.  The formula is a little thicker than the other two, making it a breeze to work with and achieving full opacity is easy with two coats.  I haven’t seen anything quite like this one and because I’ve got a soft spot for violets, this one is definitely a must-have!

Lillian

Zoya Lillian is my favorite hands-down from the creams in this collection.  She is a spring-into-summer faded turquoise that simultaneously reminds me of a delicate robin’s egg shell and vintage turquoise milk glass.  A dream on the nails to apply (full opacity with two coats) and the perfect consistency I do declare I’ve found a winner on the nails and especially on the toes right next to my summertime faux tan.

Zoya-Delight-Collection-2015

Overall this collection is the epitome of everything pastel, blooming and shimmering that you love about spring, all wrapped into one!  The two must-have creams for my taste are Lillian and Tiana and the shimmer shade with my heart on it is Leslie.  All in all, they truly are beautiful… I wish you luck in choosing! 😉

Which shades from the Delight collection are you drawn to for spring?  I’d love to know!

They are definitely irresistible aren’t they?! You know what I am missing, however, is a pale peach pastel! The ones I have tried tend to be on the bolder side but I think there has got to be one out there that I’m thinking of in my head I just have to find it, haha! 🙂 Hope you had a great weekend girly! <3

      1. I agree, a pastel peach would be wonderful! I pulled out Zoya’s Cole last weekend thinking it was peach, but then realized it is very orange. Pretty still, but not what I was going for at the time.

We are on the same wavelength girl! I pulled out Zoya Cassi which looks pretty peachy in the bottle to me, but once on my nails it looks like it leans a little more pink, plus I’m looking for the cream variety, haha! We’ll have to let each other know if we can turn one up like the peach shade of our dreams! 😀
