VanityPicks | Holiday Edition 2012 | Gift Guide

VanityPicksHolidayEd

I am very excited to bring to you V|R’s VanityPicks Holiday Edition for 2012!  I wanted to put together a Holiday Gift Guide for those of us who have not yet finished shopping and need a little inspiration.  Because I do not have reviews up for some of these products, I wanted to bring to you valuable information, and direct you to fellow beauty blogger’s reviews of the product.  I talked to some of my blogging friends and asked them what they might recommend for a holiday gift of any of the the products they have reviewed.  So, I am very excited to share links to their review and/or swatch post of the product they would recommend.  A big thank you to all the ladies who are sharing their posts here on V|R!

Palettes

Palettes are a perfect gift, really for any beauty-lover out there, but especially for anyone just starting out in makeup.  I remember when I first started looking into larger palettes, I found it confusing trying to figure out which ones to splurge on, or which ones to pass by.  This is why beauty blogger reviews are so valuable– am I right?!  Here I have compiled a list of palettes with links to reviews so you can see in more detail what each palette is all about.  Of course any beauty – beginner or not – would want to receive any of these gifts!  They are just that fabulous! (Please note: Links in images below are clickable).

Gift Sets

Gift sets can be a great way for you introduce someone you love to the products that you cannot live without — or maybe even for you to do some exploring yourself!  I love gift sets at the holidays because you can often times get a better value in trying many items from a brands regular line so you can purchase full sizes later on if you end up loving it!

Nails

Nail collections and sets around this time of year are not only festive–they just keep getting more unique!  Finishes like opaque glitter, suede, beautiful creams and metallic shades would be the perfect stocking stuffer or even a full-collection gift for the hard-core nail artist in your life!  I am particularly in love with jewel tones this season, and I have been definitely gravitating towards the red shades in my collection the past couple weeks to get my holiday fix!

Of course there are so many more items that I would even have on my wishlist this holiday, but this would be a never ending post if I didn’t stop somewhere!  A special thank you to all the beautiful beauty bloggers who sent me their links and shared their reviews with me so I could share with you.  They are some fabulous ladies, so please visit them soon!

Disclosure: I purchased products featured in this post for which I have review links for.  For more details on VR’s product review policy, please see our Terms&Conditions page.  Please visit each blogger’s page for their product disclaimer/terms and conditions page.

This is a wonderful post – I love that you’ve featured so many lovely beauty bloggers. Lots of great ideas – many products that I love (especially Inglot Freedom System!) :)

    • Angie says:

Hi Catherine, Thank you so much! I’m glad you like it. I have not yet tried out Inglot but have heard such great things about it. Kelly’s post definitely makes me put it on my wish list – they look so very soft & blendable! :)

      • Catherine says:

You’re welcome, Angie! I’ve been really impressed with their eyeshadow – plus the Freedom System is so cool. My sister (who isn’t nearly as much of a makeup junkie) said the shade selection was overwhelming, but I was totally mesmerized ;)

        • Angie says:

Haha, yes I can relate to your sister sometimes! I feel like that sometimes especially when there is so much to choose from a brand I have not tried I’m a little like a deer in headlights trying to figure out where to begin! ;)

  7. Chris El says:
