General Disclaimer.  Any product mentioned on this blog is for informative purposes only, and although I will try my best to keep up with current data, there are times when data may become outdated or irrelevant (such as with limited edition collections, beauty sales/deals) and as such, VR cannot guarantee this information.

Products
VanityRouge.com will accept products from a company or PR department and may choose to feature those products as a Product Review or as a Product Feature (as defined below).  Products sent by a company or PR will be stated in each individual post to how they were obtained.  All reviews featuring products purchased by the editor will be stated as such.  All reviews are presented honestly and based upon my experience with the product, whether it be positive or negative.

VanityRouge Content

Product Review.  VanityRouge product review posts will feature products that the editor, Angie, has personally used.  Any opinions stated in the reviews will be based upon my personal experience with the product, but will also contain information on the company’s claims regarding the product, where to purchase and other facts regarding the product.  Please note that as we are all different individuals, my experience with a product may vary from your experience. As I am not a licensed professional, my commentary should be taken as such, and the reader should consult a professional for advice if needed.

Product Feature.  Product feature posts may simply feature product photos (provided by PR or photographed by VR), an informative description from the company but will exclude editorial commentary on the products performance.

Daily Vanity.  The Daily Vanity post will feature a single or grouped photograph of a beauty product for informative purposes and may or may not include editorial commentary.  This will be a short-style post format to provide the reader with a high quality photo and informational link so they can further investigate the product.

Vanity Picks/Beauty News/Beauty Deals.  These posts may feature the editor’s favorites, beauty-related news (including links to other blogs with relevant and helpful information) and beauty coupon codes, sales and promotions obtained through PR, other blogs and/or received via email/Facebook/twitter to pass onto VR readers. Please note that any information passed along in regard to sales and promotional deals is for informational purposes only and VR cannot be held liable for outdated or inaccurate information.

General Policies

Comments.  The Disqus commenting system is currently used on VanityRouge.com to interact with my readers.  I enjoy this interaction and love to hear what my readers think!  VanityRouge.com reserves the right to remove any comments without notice that are inappropriate, malicious in nature, or contain spam.

FTC Disclaimer – Advertising & Affiliate Links.  VanityRouge.com features relevant advertising through banner ads, links within posts, and affiliate links.  Purchases made by clicking through these links will result in a small commission for this blog.  Purchasing through these links does not increase the cost of an item, but a small commission will be credited to this blog.  You do not have to use the affiliate links, but by doing so, you support this blog.  To comply with new FTC Guidelines established in March 2013, posts will clearly state at the beginning of the post whether the product was purchased by VanityRouge or sent for editorial consideration (press sample).  This will be stated at the beginning of the dialogue in each post, and if received as a press sample, stated again within the body of the post, and finally restated at the end of each post, with a link to this page.  Affiliate links, will be clearly marked after each link with (ad), indicating it is an “advertisement”, and will also state in the disclaimer if the post contains affiliate links.

Contests & Giveaways.  From time to time VR may feature reader/viewer giveaways and contests which may be provided by the editor, or by third party companies.  The giveaway will clearly state the details of the prize, how to enter the contest/giveaway, and if the contest prize is being provided by the editor, or sponsored by a third-party.  The entrant is expected to uphold local state and/or country laws when entering a contest.  The entrant must have reached the age of majority in his/her residence to gain entry to all contests.  If under the age of majority, the parent/guardian of the minor will need to enter on your behalf, and the prize will be shipped to the parent or guardian on behalf of the minor.  This policy may vary if sponsored by a third party, in which case their terms and conditions will apply.  All entrants will be responsible for any tax or fees related to receipt of shipped prize if required by your state or country of residence, and VanityRouge will not be responsible for any fees associated with the receipt of the item.  VanityRouge does not have access to information on customs fees or taxes, so it is the responsibility of the entrant to be familiar with their own country’s laws regarding receipt of foreign mail/packages before entering the giveaway/contest.

Privacy.  For giveaways, information such as name and address information will be collected for prize mailing purposes.  This information will remain private on VR.  The exception will be if the giveaway/contest is being sponsored and shipped by a third-party company, which would require this information to be released.
