Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Kiss Me Coral
Revlon has recently introduced new Super Lustrous Lipglosses in twelve shades ranging from pale neutrals to the bold and bright. I have one shade to share with you today, Kiss Me Coral. a vibrant coral shade.
The packaging of the new Super Lustrous Lipgloss is very sleek, with a shiny black top and clear plastic rounded tube.

Revlon describes the new Super Lustrous Lipgloss as “A silky gloss that boosts hydration and plumps lips with moisture for a colorful glamorous shine.”
Formula | Pigmentation | Longevity | Application
Kiss Me Coral is a vibrant warm red shade with slight sparkle. The new Super Lustrous Lip Gloss formula is very lightweight and smooth on the lips, and leaves my lips feeling moisturized while wearing it. The sparkle in the gloss is not chunky, and the entire application process is very smooth. Once on the lips the sparkle is very subtle. The gloss can be built up to an extent, but always maintains a level of sheerness. The wear time is approximately two hours for me. After the first hour the shine dies down considerably, and the gloss begins to slowly wear off the middle of the lips first. This gloss does not stain, and so the color fades along with the gloss finish. This product has a light sweet scent that is not overpowering and does not taste.
Comparison to the Original Super Lustrous Lip Gloss:
The packaging is a bit different, with the new version being circular instead of square. The scent of the product is also similar, both being lightly sweet. The new version deceptively appears larger, but while the original square packaging contained 0.2 fl. oz. / 5.9 ml, the new Super Lustrous contains 0.13 fl. oz. / 3.8 ml. The feeling on the lips to me is different, and much better in my opinion with the new version. The feeling is lighter, less “waxy” feeling, and sinks into the lips more, leaving them moisturized. The original also contained SPF15, while the new version does not have an SPF rating, which could contribute to the different feeling on the lips perhaps. I am definitely loving the new formula because of its familiar glossy finish, but with lightweight feel and hydrating properties, this product is definitely an improvement.
In general, I have been continually impressed with budget-friendly lip glosses that have been introduced over the past year across many drugstore brands that I might be starting to sound like a broken record here: “Not sticky! Lightweight! Moisturizing!”. I am very happy to see the quality of gloss improvement across the board, and this one keeps up with the “new standard” as well. The color payoff is a little weak, but then again these are glosses and do not promise intense pigmentation, only shine and hydration, so overall I am very satisfied.
