The makeup at the 2013 Oscars was fairly soft overall, with celebrities showing off flawless skin, soft yet defined eyes, and a whisper of natural blush. Nude and natural lips seemed to take the center stage, but I was drawn to the celebrities who took it to the next level and wore a little more color on their lips. Here are a few that caught my eye.
Jessica Chastain. I think we can all agree from the dress, to her gorgeous locks and her classic Hollywood red lip, Jessica’s entire look was flawless! I love how the shade of red on her lips complimented her complexion. She looked heavenly!
Anne Hathaway. Although Anne’s dress got quite a bit of chatter for its unique qualities, I love how her makeup artist chose a medium pink lip that complimented her entire look. It was subtle enough to look classic, yet vibrant enough to light up her face (although Anne’s beautiful smile does a great job of that on its own!). For details on Anne’s makeup, visit Temptalia.com
Kelly Osbourne. Kelly’s makeup and complexion is always so flawless, and I love how her vibrant lipstick coordinates beautifully with her soft purple hair. She looked amazing! If you happen to know what shade her lipstick is I am dying to find out!
Fan Bingbing. There were a handful of celebrities who matched their lip to their dress, and Fan’s bright fuchsia dress with matching lip looked stunning against her silky complexion and dark hair. Definitely a beautiful statement!
Me. Details below of my look! Oh, and next time I’m “on the Red Carpet” I’ll be sure to give you an exclusive!
Brandi Lanville. Brandi was another star whose ensemble was probably the most-talked about, namely for its “hold on for dear life” qualities, but I think her makeup was amazing! She had such a flawless and bright complexion and her bright red lip complimented her perfectly.
