NYX Summer Peach Blush | Photos, Swatches

NYX Summer Peach (1)

I’m already thinking summer, people.  Yes, NYX Blush in Summer Peach has been transporting me to sunny summer days even while the temperature is still cold and it feels amazing!

NYX Summer Peach – a beautiful warm peachy-pink shade with golden reflects

You can see the light flecks of gold

Do I need another peachy pink blush in my collection? Probably not, yet this is the one that (of course!) drew me in when I was in Ulta last week.  I was most intrigued by the gold reflects in this blush and wondered how it would transfer to the cheek, and I wasn’t disappointed.  The base of this blush is extremely pigmented and as such I went a little crazy and ended up having to blend it out quite a bit, which I think are two signs of a great blush: highly pigmented yet easy to blend out.  Summer Peach is easy to apply, and if you are scared of the golden reflects in it then don’t be – they are only slightly visible on the cheeks, but give a nice soft look with extra dimension that I love, which gives a nice glow in the matte base.  It is not like a mineral blush that tends to give immediate radiance (and can be tricky to apply around larger pores) so I think this is a perfect balance for someone who wants a little extra in their matte blush but isn’t ready to sport full-on radiance!  I’m loving it!

What are your favorite NYX blushes?  I have Natural and Taupe which are amazing!  I’d love to read your recommendations as well.

Where To Buy: UltaBeauty, $4.99 and NYX Cosmetics.com, $6.00

  1. I always hear good things about Nyx blushes (and shadows) but truth be told, I haven’t tried either from the brand. The only thing I’ve tried is a teal liner I got years and years ago from a friend. The formula was meh and since I never knew where to find the brand (now I know it’s available at Ulta), I never bothered to look, I guess. But I am definitely curious–especially about the blushes. I need to plan an Ulta trip really soon…

Hi Becca – Yes I am so surprised that I did not try out the brand sooner. It was only recently that my Ulta updated the NYX section with newer products and things are finally stocked now, whereas before the display looked rather haggard and sad from having so many people sample through it all. Who knows how long the new set up will be nice looking, but for now they just added some newer exciting items and I think the quality is just improving! I would definitely recommend looking in to their blushes, soft matte lip creams (I just posted on today) and their lip liners. Good stuff! :)

Wow, that is very pretty! I’ve always heard great things about their blushes but haven’t purchased any yet.

They are surprisingly good – I would definitely check into them! :)

I will! I have an embarrassing number of lip and eye products, but I have really neglected blushes. I’m overdue in expanding them, instead of sticking to the 2 or 3 I know I love. ;)

I know what you mean! I just realized that myself this year and I am planning on expanding my “collection”! ;) I need to try more MAC blushes I think too – I only have one and it is so pretty! :)

I will! And thanks so much for explaining how the sparkly bits actually appear on the skin. In my late 40′s, I tend to avoid shimmery face products and might have skipped this just because I saw glitter in the pan. Glad to know it doesn’t translate as glitter on the face!

Oh certainly! I thought to mention it because initially I put it down and was like, “no way!”, then when I kept coming back to it because of the pretty color I gave in – very glad I did – it is gorgeous! :)
