I have shared reviews here and there of Paula’s Choice skincare products, but I wanted to combine all of the products I’m using together into one video and post to share with you: My Skincare Routine Part I. In this video I share what products I use, how often, and how much I use. I have already repurchased several of these products so they are definitely my favorite!
A little about my skin: My skin is oily and my main concerns are: oil control, acne, fading red marks from past blemishes, large pores, dullness, and wrinkles.

SPF Products & Information:
I usually alternate among these products depending on if I will be in the sun or not that day, but even if I am limiting my time outdoors, or even if it is a cloudy day, I always wear a broad spectrum SPF.
- Paula’s Choice Sheer Matte Tint SPF 30, $14.95 – this is my favorite to wear under foundation – it is weightless and doesn’t make me greasy! I am generous with the application to be sure I am getting adequate coverage. I will have a demo of this on my second YT channel soon.
- Rachel K CC Cream SPF 35- I love to use this as a pre- liquid or powder foundation base because it is very smoothing and fills in my pores. To see my review here: Rachel K CC Cream Review, Photos, Swatches. I will also have a review demo of this product on my second channel soon as well.
- Neutrogena Clear Skin SPF55 – When I going for a run outside, work in the yard or go to sporting events in lieu of makeup I only wear and bring along high SPF and reapply often, and wear a hat. Protecting my skin from the harsh sun is more important to me than keeping makeup on my face (plus with the hot summers in Texas where your makeup melts off of my face instantly it is just easier to stick with SPF!)

Your skin is gorgeous! I love PC products, too, I’ve been using them for 18 months now. I would never go back to the products I’ve used in the past.
I am so pleased you are happy with your Paula’s Choice products as well! I find it such a relief to finally have found products that work great for my skin and I love the results I get using them.
Which makeup removing wipe do you use?
Hi Kate – I use Ponds Evening Soothe Wet Cleansing Towelettes. They are quite strong smelling but the scent does not bother me and I think they work well. I have also just purchased Bioderma Sensibio and I am trying that out as a face makeup remover (applying it using cotton pads to remove). So far I am liking it because it is not scented and works well for face and most eye makeup, but I am finding it does not remove my waterproof mascara or gel liner very well. I use Paula’s Choice makeup remover for that.
I hope this will help you out a bit! Sorry the answer is so long.
Have a great day!
Hi! I started using the MAC wipes and like them followed by the PC Skin Balancing cleanser. I have had no irritation. They are also rated well on beautypedia. I was thinking about trying PC Makeup Remover all over using a cotton pad. The website states that it can be used in this way. By the way, I love your blog and makeup advice/reviews! I have been using PC skincare for a long time and love it as well! Just from reading your blog, I was going to give the Dior Airflash foundation a try!
