Milani says their Color Statement lipsticks give a full coverage application with just one stroke.  They are lightweight and creamy and contain Vitamins A,C, & E which help moisturize and nourish lips.

Application.  I found these lipsticks to be just as Milani described, lightweight, creamy and opaque with one swipe on the lips.  The texture is smooth, and with the cream finishes I tried slightly drying, so I made sure to moisturize when wearing these.  The lipstick wears very nicely throughout the day, and the brightest shade of the three I purchased, Flamingo Pose, leaves a very nice stain on the lips after it has worn off.  The scent of this lipstick is quite apparent when you first open the cap – they have a sweet plastic-like scent to them which actually reminds me of the scent of the original L’Oreal Colour Riche lipsticks.  The scent slightly fades a few minutes after application, but is still noticeable to me.

Overall I find the shade and finish range in Milani’s Color Statement line to be impressive, and the the lipstick formula, although slightly drying on my lips, very opaque and comfortable to wear.

I’d love to hear if you have tried these new lipsticks and what you think of them!

  1. Funny coincidence I initially was interested in the nude colors but when I looked at these in CVS, I was curious about these two pinks and wondered if I’d find them too bright or intense to be flattering. They look pretty.

    1. I was also worried about them being too bright as well but in looking at all of the shades I figured these ones would probably work best for me.  I am glad I picked them up, although they do remind me of some of the Kate Moss for Rimmel shades I’ve picked up recently (minus the nude one).  Haha, I guess I need to expand my color range a bit! 🙂
