Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm

Maybelline Baby Lips is making quite an entrance with their new Electro Moisturizing Lip Balms.  These new and shocking shades are fun, vibrant and some of them are surprisingly pigmented!  I especially love the variety.  Whether you like a bit of color, or if you like your balm to be sheer you can still have a good time!   There are six available shades, and I currently have found five to share today.

The packaging for the Electro shades differs from the original with black packaging and neon wording which is very fun!

I love how vibrant these shades are!

“8HR Hydration with a Neon Kick”

I am a big fan of Maybelline’s Baby Lips.  I find them moisturizing, soothing and they last fairly long on my lips leaving them feeling very comfortable.  Maybelline says this product protects and moisturizes for a full 8 hours, however I do not experience this beyond a couple of hours which I think is a little more realistic, but still very acceptable for a balm.

The pigmentation of several of these shades is impressive.  If you like a sheer balm, then definitely pick up Fierce n’ Tangy which smells faintly of lemons; or you could reach for Minty Sheer, which has a light minty scent.  If you are into a little more color and you love pinks, Pink Shock (which smells like raspberries) is the one for you – this one is my favorite!  Berry Bomb is a berry-scented shade that is surprisingly flattering on the lips giving them a nice berry tint.  Oh! Orange! is a citrus-scented pop of sheer orange for the lips that is easy to wear, especially in the summer!  I have yet to find the sixth shade, Strike a Rose and I will update with swatches if I end up finding it.  I am hoping it smells like roses – let me know if you have found it! ;)

Gah. These look no less cool swatched — thank you for sharing, Angie!

I have my eye on Pink Shock and Berry Balm, though I *know* I don’t need them at all. (My ridiculous Chubby Stick collection has me covered for sheer lip balms for the next few years, I’m afraid!) Still, though — these look like so much fun, and I love how bright they are in the tubes.

Of course! I am glad it helped you out. :) I really love all of them and also really do not need them, but they are inexpensive so hey, “why the heck not?!” am I right!? :D I can’t wait to hear/see your favorite!

Strike a Rose smells like Twinkle from the previous collection. It’s a lovely rose/coral pink ^.^ Very pigmented. You can buy all of them online at CVS :)

Hi Lauren! Thank you for letting me know the scent of it – haha twinkies I would not have imagined! :) Thank you also for sharing where to purchase all of them. I will have to keep that in mind for sure! :)

First of all, i just need to say that i love how sleek your blog is.
    Always love visiting your page.

Speaking of Lip balm, I’ve tried one lip balm from Maybelline and it wasn’t impressive.
So i’m a bit hesitant about this. I much prefer Jordana Easyshine Lip Color.
But the neon colors are sure tempting!
