Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm
Maybelline Baby Lips is making quite an entrance with their new Electro Moisturizing Lip Balms. These new and shocking shades are fun, vibrant and some of them are surprisingly pigmented! I especially love the variety. Whether you like a bit of color, or if you like your balm to be sheer you can still have a good time! There are six available shades, and I currently have found five to share today.
The packaging for the Electro shades differs from the original with black packaging and neon wording which is very fun!
I love how vibrant these shades are!
L to R: Pink Shock, Fierce n’ Tangy, Berry Bomb, Oh! Orange!, Minty Sheer
Pink Shock is a very flattering pink
Fierce n’ Tangy is essentially clear with a reflection of yellow.
Berry Bomb is a beautiful purple-stained berry tone.
Oh! Orange! is a nice sheer easy wear orange shade.
Minty Sheer is a clear shade.
“8HR Hydration with a Neon Kick”
I am a big fan of Maybelline’s Baby Lips. I find them moisturizing, soothing and they last fairly long on my lips leaving them feeling very comfortable. Maybelline says this product protects and moisturizes for a full 8 hours, however I do not experience this beyond a couple of hours which I think is a little more realistic, but still very acceptable for a balm.
The pigmentation of several of these shades is impressive. If you like a sheer balm, then definitely pick up Fierce n’ Tangy which smells faintly of lemons; or you could reach for Minty Sheer, which has a light minty scent. If you are into a little more color and you love pinks, Pink Shock (which smells like raspberries) is the one for you – this one is my favorite! Berry Bomb is a berry-scented shade that is surprisingly flattering on the lips giving them a nice berry tint. Oh! Orange! is a citrus-scented pop of sheer orange for the lips that is easy to wear, especially in the summer! I have yet to find the sixth shade, Strike a Rose and I will update with swatches if I end up finding it. I am hoping it smells like roses – let me know if you have found it! 😉
