Straight Talk from My Shower: Matrix So Silver for Bright Blonde Hair

Idon’t know about you but I love to experience bath, body and hair care products and because of this I tend to have a lot of bottles, tubes and containers staring back at me as I shower!  Today I want to share one of my all-time hair care favorites that I use for my blonde hair, Matrix So Silver.  Although this product is designed to “add shimmering brightness to gray and white hair” I find it also works beautifully to keep my bleach blonde locks from turning brassy and looking dull. As you can see from the photo above, this product is a purple shampoo so it can seem rather scary when you put it on, but trust me you won’t be left with purple hair when all is said and done!  I use this about once per week to keep my blonde looking bright.  As much as I love how this product works I will say the only thing I don’t quite care for is the pungent scent.  It almost smells like a anti-dandruff shampoo to my sniffer, but since I only use it once a week I put up with it and just use a deep conditioning treatment that smells nice afterward. I do love the results so I keep using it!

Do you have a favorite purple shampoo you use to brighten up your blonde, gray or silver hair?  I’d love for you to share!

  1. I use a similar product from AG Hair Cosmetics called Sterling Silver Shampoo. It smells amazing….something tropical like coconuts:). I have the same problem with my blonde hair turning brassy as well.
