I was inspired by Natalia Vodianova’s look in Guerlain’s Fall 2012 promotional photo for the Rouge G L’Extrait I reviewed this week. I chose a warm golden eye with hints of bronze, kept the skin pale, with slight bronzing on the cheeks, and because I couldn’t resist– a little highlight on the cheekbones. Her eye look was very simple and featured the Guerlain Fall 2012 Color Collection palette but I chose to use shades in my own collection to try and recreate it. I would normally not leave the eyes liner-less, but felt with the bold lip and with the shimmer on the lids, it felt right to keep the eye area less weighed down. I would have added some falsies to this look, but at the time I did not have any individuals on hand, so I would definitely ad some to the ends in the future. All in all, I think this look would be perfect for a holiday party, simple, but glamorous, and with a little bit of shimmer on the lids (which I always love!)
Maybelline FitMe foundation Nude Beige
Rimmel Stay Matte translucent setting powder
NYC Bronzer in Sunny
MAC Woodwinked on lid, with a combination of Urban Decay’s Snakebite and Mac Prolongwear in Lie Low (to add more of a bronze look) in the outer V area. To add more dimension I added a warm rust shade in the inner crease with a pencil brush and slightly softened it by blending the edges. For this I used Sigma Beauty Reveal eyeshadow from the Dare palette.
I used Sigma Beauty white eyeliner pencil (from the Defining Eyes palette) to line my lower waterline.
