IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer Light and Neutral Medium Review and Comparison Swatches

• it Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer •

IT COSMETICS Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer is a full coverage, waterproof and moisturizing concealer with anti-aging ingredients.  While I do not suffer from very dark circles, I have noticed as I get older the skin under my eyes is thinning and I do have some inner corner darkness, as well as green veins that I like to cover up.  It had been awhile since I’ve tried a moisturizing concealer under my eyes – over the past year I’ve found myself attracted to lightweight brightening “pens” – so I was very curious about this product.  Today I’m sharing a review, swatches and before and after photos when using both light and neutral medium shades.

Bye Bye Under Eye is packaged in small squeeze tubes.

On the left – Light.  On the Right – Neutral Medium.  The consistency of the concealer is quite thick and very pigmented so a little goes a long way!  The amount I’ve swatched here would probably be enough for ten applications!

Once under the eyes the Bye Bye Under Eye does a good job at concealing, and adding a “reflective” quality under the eyes to brighten the face.

Bye Bye Under Eye contains Vitamins K, A, C, E and Collagen to reduce under eye puffiness and discoloration.  It is also waterproof, and it definitely stays put all day long until I remove it with a makeup removing solution!  The consistency is quite thick and very pigmented (reminding me of a less-orange/peachy Benefit Erase Paste), so a little goes a long way.  It is also very creamy and because of the thickness I find it is a little hard to dispense from the squeeze tube, and I often squeeze out too much in application.  The concealer is quite moisturizing, so it is very comfortable underneath the eyes, so with my oily skin I do find I need to set this with a powder (if you have dry skin you may not feel the need to).  When set with powder I do not experience much creasing during wear, although I need to take care I do not place it immediately under the eyes in the areas where I always experience creasing.

Light and Neutral Medium are two of the four available shades in this line (they also have Tan and Deep available.)  I have to say I am most comfortable wearing Neutral Medium on it’s own most often.  It is just brightening enough and works well with my complexion.  If I feel the need for extra brightening (in the inner corners of my eyes where I typically have darkness) I find it effective, but it is quite bright, so I need to adjust my other face makeup application accordingly.  The coverage of both is quite nice, but I also feel the need to use a corrector underneath (I have a couple corrector reviews coming up!) to conceal the darkness toward the inner corners of my eyes as well as some of the green veins under my eyes.

To apply I prefer to use a brush rather than my finger because the brush tends to blend it out evenly, whereas my finger tends to remove some of the product as I am tapping it in.

The smaller end is perfect for blending out the concealer and working it in without removing any as it blends.

The larger end is meant for foundation application, but I find it is soft enough that I like to use it to lightly sweep powder under my eyes to set the Bye Bye Under Eye.

Overall I find Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer to be a very hydrating and creamy concealer, perfect for the under-eye area.  Because of my oily skin I do feel the need to set it with a light powder, but I do not mind because it is so comfortable to wear under the eyes.  If you have dry skin and you are looking for that extra little "reflection" under the eyes to make you look more awake, then you will definitely want to look into this concealer option!

Very helpful Angie. My dark circles are worse than yours, but quite small areas, and I’ve started applying concealer with very tiny brushes which is working very well. I think it was on Goss Makeup Artist where I learned that concealer should NOT go on the bags AT ALL (since that makes them look even bigger), and I absolutely cannot avoid the bags when using a concealer brush. Believe it or not, I’m using an eyeliner brush for concealer and loving it. I’ve seen a few YouTubers using this product, but am always interested to hear your words!
