The poetic side of Chanel

Chanel’s Fall Collection États Poétiques is here and wow is she a beauty!  Chanel describes the collection as “A poetic Fall palette. A colourful game of opposites. Innocent and stormy shadows express passion and emotion.”

The extra color Chanel has injected into this fall collection is balanced to perfection with neutral and earthy shades that meld together in autumn harmony!  These products definitely have me ready to visit my local Chanel counter.

Chanel-Fall-2014-Soft-Touch-Eyeshadow

Chanel Ombre Essentielle in Sensation, Palpitation, Hésitation $29.50 each – now I can see all three of these shades as easy Fall neutrals, but Sensation and Hésitation are on my wishlist!

Chanel-Fall-2014-Soft-Touch-Eyeshadow-2

Chanel Ombre Essentielle in Exaltation, Pulsion, Admiration $29.50 each  Wow these colors pop! What do you think of bold Chanel shades?

Chanel-Fall-2014-Rouge-Coco-Shine

Rouge Coco Shine L to R: Aura, Intime, Confident, Viva – $35 each.  Uh-oh – I see 3 must-have shades for me!  My lips want Intime, Viva and Confident – must I only choose one?

Chanel-Fall-2014-Powder-Blush-and-Glossimer

Songe and Rose Révé Glossimers $29.50, Jouse Contraste in Innocence, $45  These shades look so soft and sweet but they look quite pale.  I may pass on these, but I will have to check them out at the counter!

Chanel-Fall-2014-Nail-Colour

Le Vernis Atmosphére, Orage, Secret, $27 each.  I think Orage is a must for me, but ooohh Atmosphére looks amazing too!

Chanel-Fall-2014-Stylo-Eyeliner-Pen

Écriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen (reformulated) $35 each.  I have not tried the original formula so I wonder how this one holds up.  I’ve been really into liquid pen eyeliner lately so I might have to check this one out!

Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow Tissé Vendome (top) and Tissé Vénitien (bottom) $61 each.  Also new for fall are the newly reformulated Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadows.  In particular I’ve got my eyes on these two shades, which Lisa Eldridge demonstrated in two different tutorials for Chanel.  Lisa shares that they are smoother and more pigmented which makes me very curious about the formula!  I can totally see these two palettes becoming Fall staples for me.

What do you think of Chanel’s Fall collection?  Will you be purchasing anything?  I’d love to know!

  1. I’ve got the Tisse Vendome quad in my cart right now. I checked out the Lisa Eldridge videos yesterday and was impressed that she used the sponge applicator from the compact.

Excellent choice! I was also impressed that she used the sponge applicators. For some reason with high end eyeshadows like this I always give it a try as well. I actually prefer application of my YSL Bleus Lumiére palette with the sponge tip applicator. I just feel like it lays down the product more smoothly and more pigmented. I am very curious to try these out but I have yet to choose which one I want – they all look amazing! Yikes! 😉 😀
